One of the main advantages of renting a bike or a car directly in Venao, and not from another city, is that you get the freedom to rent it according to your needs day by day. Things to do when you rent a motorbike
Feel the freedom to ride a motorcycle in the hills around Playa Venao, and explore the nearby attractions.
Cañas
Visit the small town of Cañas, located about 10 minutes from Venao.
Go swim at the waterfall, stop by Alaya Resort to enjoy a day pass that gives you access to the pool and restaurant or go practice skateboarding at Surf Dojo skate park. There are also a few fondas (restaurants) where you can enjoy panamanian food. Ride the bike to get to Cañas port and take the boat taxi to Isla Cañas, for a quiet beach day.
Rental Cars and Scooters
La Playita
Just a few minutes from the main beach area of Venao, you can find another beach called La Playita. Ride the bike on the main road on the way to Pedasi, take a right turn at the sign saying La Playita Resort, and follow the dirt road that will lead you to the beach resort. White sand and very little waves is what you will find at la Playita, a totally different environment than Venao itself, only a few minutes away!

Pedasi
About 30 minutes by car from Venao, is Pedasi town. There are a few beaches around Pedasi, some with very strong currents and other with less waves, so why not have a nice trip to visit them all?
Playa Los Destiladeros is well known for its quietness, perfect for connecting to nature, observing the beautiful view and the luxurious houses that create the special scenery of this beach.
Playa Arenal is the departure shore of many tours and activities in the area accessible by boat. Among those activities are fishing tours, the very popular visit to the natural reserve of Isla Iguana and whale watching.

Playa el Toro is another very quiet beach, even if close to the main town. As the ocean is slowly degrading the shore land around the beach, the scenery there is quite unique. There are no shops or restaurants on the beach, only yellow sand and beautiful landscape.
The small town of Pedasi itself has some conveniences like a variety of supermarkets, shops and services. If you need to do some shopping during your trip, Pedasi will probably have what you need. There are lots of restaurants to discover as Pedasi is renowned for its gastronomy. Here are a few restaurants to look for : Bohemia for great pizza, Smileys for a musical dining experience or the cozy coffee shop Jungla.
Guanico
If you continue down the coastline from Venao, you can get to a small beach village called Guanico. This beach is still pretty untouched from human activities, so you can even have the whole beach just for yourself some times! Guanico has great waves for surfing, but other than riding the waves, you can find some comfy hostels, take surf classes, go horseback riding on the beach, hike in the hills or discover local restaurants. There are even private chef services in the area for you to enjoy quietness with complete peace of mind!
Cambutal
Well known for its great surf, Cambutal is a perfect destination for a weekend trip. Not only can you surf good waves, you can also enjoy water activities like kayaking or fishing, discover the local restaurants and of course, just relax on the black sand beach.
